Hi, I'm Geoffrey Jost. I answer to Geoffrey or Geoff or gjost or jefurii. This is my home on the web, my outpost in cyberspace as it were.

I spend most work days making web sites using Django, a web framework written in Python. Every Django developer seems to have written their own blogging software, and I'm no exception. This site runs on a Linux distribution called Ubuntu, which I wholeheartedly recommend to one and all.

I'm interested in the creative commons and anything free/libre/open-source thing. Open-source software, or the ideas of open-source, are somehow involved in a lot of really cool things that are happening these days. I'm also interested in whole systems and in long-term thinking.

When I'm not programming I sometimes post blog entries, but I can often be found listening to strange music and/or reading whatever is interesting at the moment
